Below we have attached the tentative schedule for the hackathons. For more logistical details, please have a look at the Logistics page.
Monday (03/25):
- 8:30am, Breakfast
- 9:30am-12:30pm, Hackathon Kick-Off!: We’ll introduce the hack, introduce ourselves (reminder to fill out the introduction slides!), go over guiding principles of the hack, and run some brainstorming sessions to set up the week. Location: 5th floor conference room.
- 12:30pm-1:30pm, Lunch Break
- 1:30pm-2:00pm, Project Preparation: Members will have this time free to assemble around project ideas to put forward.
- 2:00pm-2:30pm, Project Pitches: Members will pitch specific projects and group themselves around the topics that most interest them. Location: 5th floor conference room
- 3:00pm, Coffee
- 5:30pm-6:00pm, First Wrap-Up: For this first wrap-up, each group outlines their concrete plans from the brainstorming sessions for the hackathon, and advertises opportunities for involvement as well as flagging any help or expertise that might be needed. Location: 5th floor conference room.
- 6:00pm, day is over but participants are welcome to continue their hacks.
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (03/26-28):
- 8:30am, Breakfast
- 9:30am-10:30am, Morning Session: Hack projects are briefly introduced, if you propose a hack, it’s the opportunity to explain what your goals are and what kind of help you are looking for. After announcement, teams assemble and hacking begins! Location: 5th floor conference room.
- 12:00pm, Lunch Break
- 3:00pm, Coffee
- 5:00pm-6:00pm, Evening Wrap-Up: Each groups report on the progress of the day, with some tangible results (e.g. a plot, pull request, or just of drawing of a schema). Second opportunity to ask for help/expertise/specific breakout session for the next day. Location: 5th floor conference room.
Friday (03/29):
- 8:30am, Breakfast
- 10:30am-12:00pm: Concluding Session: Wrapping up the hackathon as a whole, going over our results and planning out the next steps. Thanks everyone for joining! Location: 6th floor conference room.
